A small nature reserve consisting of two fields on either side of Bumpstead Brook, a short tributary of the River Stour. The fields have small plantations, one of cricket-bat willows and the other field maples, and are surrounded by very old hedgerows with a variety of tree species. They are managed for wild flowers, one by hay cut and the other by sheep grazing.
On the B1054 a short distance west (towards Hempstead) of Steeple Bumpstead. SatNav: TL 663 399.

Please do not enter the fenced area when sheep are grazing
