Former arable land filling in the gap between Tylers Common and the M25, which runs across to the east on an embankment. Trees have been planted to screen the M25 and in patches elsewhere. Good views from the top and some flower-rich damp grassland as a bonus.

Visiting

Within the triangle formed by the A127, A12 and M25 east of Harold Wood. From M25 junction 28 take the A1023 towards Brentwood and turn first right on to Nags Head Lane: the Tylers Common car park is less than a mile down on the left. Or, heading west on the A127, turn off at the first junction after the M25 and head north along Hall Lane towards Brentwood: the Pages Wood car park is on the left.

Harold Wood station is about 20 minutes' walk from Pages Wood. Turn left outside the station and follow Gubbins Lane down to the junction. Go straight across and into Harold Wood Park, entering Pages Wood at its far corner.

Accessible at all times.
