A small unimproved hay meadow on chalky boulder clay, also containing a number of fruit trees. It has impressive numbers of cowslips and pyramidal orchids. The many other plants include bee orchid, common spotted orchid, yellow rattle and pepper saxifrage.

Visiting

About 3km south-east of Thaxted; on a minor road that links the B184 to the B1057 via Holder's Green and Lindsell. The entrance is on the south of the lane a short way west of Holder's Green.

Accessible at all times.
