A group of mainly ancient woods on a hillside overlooking the Mardyke, acquired by the Forestry Commission in 2002. The woods are quite diverse in terms of tree species and there are good views across the flood plain of the Mardyke.
Visiting
Access from Stifford Road (B1335) in South Ockendon or from the footpath/bridleway running alongside the Mardyke, west of Davy Down.
Accessible at all times.
