Once the garden of local businessman Charles Linder, half of this LNR in Buckhurst Hill is ancient woodland and the other half a wildflower meadow. Bluebells, wood anemones and wild service trees indicate the great age of the woodland. Amphibians breed in the several small ponds.

Visiting

Access from Roebuck Lane, Buckhurst Hill, which runs north from Palmerston Road (B170). On-street parking.

Central Line tube to Buckhurst Hill.

Accessible in daylight hours.
