Former grazing meadows alongside the Stebbing Brook that have been planted up with native trees – oak, hornbeam and field maple up on the slopes; ash, alder and willow in the damper area; hazel and dogwood alongside the paths. Marshy areas and clearings beside the brook have been left open. The farmer who owns the land agreed to allow public access in return for the grants that funded the planting.
