A small wood in Stanford-le-Hope, owned by Thurrock Council and managed by Essex Wildlife Trust. It adjoins the River Hassenbrooke, here lined with reeds and marshy areas. It supports the usual woodland birds and its dead elms provide nesting sites for woodpeckers.
Visiting
Entrance from Fairview Avenue, Stanford-le-Hope. On-street parking.
Stanford rail station is a few minutes' walk away.
Accessible at all times.
