These Green Lanes are now completely separated from the rest of Epping Forest, running in an arc starting near Fishers Green in the Lea Valley and finishing north of Epping. They consist of pleasant green lanes interspersed with grassy areas, small woods and occasional ponds.

Surrounded as they are by intensive farmland their wildlife value is high. Yellowhammers and linnets, for example, are still seen along them regularly in summer but have almost disappeared elsewhere.

Visiting

Park at Fishers Green (see ) and walk from there.

Harlow–Waltham Abbey bus to Eagle Lodge or Holyfield. Harlow–Epping bus to Epping Green.

Accessible at all times.
