This country park on the edge of Heybridge was created in the mid-1990s as part of a large housing development. The Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation forms its south-western boundary.
It has open meadows, patches of dense vegetation and scrub, some mature woodland and a large lake with an island. Such variety means that there is usually some interesting wildlife around.
