Crowsheath Community Woodland is actually a diverse mixture of meadows and young woodland, plus a pond. It is managed by Essex & Suffolk Water in partnership with Essex Wildlife Trust and is home to barn owls, kestrels and water voles. The site is popular especially with dog walkers – there is even a designated 'dog dip' area in the wildlife pond.
