Former farmland planted by the Forestry Commission in 2003. To maintain the good views across the Ingrebourne marshes towards Hornchurch and Elm Park large open glades have been left between pockets of new planting. Skylarks nest in these glades and in the surrounding fields.
Visiting
Access from Berwick Ponds Road or by walking up the track leading down to Hornchurch Country Park.
Accessible at all times.
