Tylers Common

Tylers Common, an ancient common in the Metropolitan Green Belt between Harold Wood and the M25, is now surrounded by new Forestry Commission woodlands planted up as part of the Thames Chase Community Forest.

Visiting

Within the triangle formed by the A127, A12 and M25 east of Harold Wood. From M25 junction 28 take the A1023 towards Brentwood and turn first right on to Nags Head Lane: the Tylers Common car park is less than a mile down on the left. Or, heading west on the A127, turn off at the first junction after the M25 and head north along Hall Lane towards Brentwood: the Pages Wood car park is on the left.

Harold Wood station is about 20 minutes' walk from Pages Wood. Turn left outside the station and follow Gubbins Lane down to the junction. Go straight across and into Harold Wood Park, entering Pages Wood at its far corner.
